Yeah...so...about that money trouble I was having... Remember how I didn't get a Need-Based bursary, even when I was sure that I would qualify? Yeah... they were supposed to go out on the 13th, and if I didn't get one then I was in trouble. So, I checked my email (all 3 of them), and no message had arrived. Didn't bother checking after that.
On Christmas Eve I scrape together all my money and send it off electronically to the Uni.
This morning my parents and my grandmother give me my presents in envelopes as I requested.
I try to sign on to QUEST to see if my payment has gone through. It's not working, not exactly unbelieveable as it's Christmas day. Then I check my Uni Email account. I've got a message. From the Student Awards Office. It arrived on the 14th. I qualify for an $1100 bursary. Ergo the title. After the payment I made yesterday I can't be more than $150 short on my bills, with another $500 for books this term. That leaves a cool $500 for next Fall. Not too bad if I do say so myself.
