So it's 9:45 and I'm out of bed. Feeling much better than yesterday. Listening to the Hellsing OST, and I'd have to say I'd recommend it to anyone. Well, almost anyone. Along with Hellsing itself. it's an anime miniseries developed from a (from what I can tell, not having read it) somewhat longer manga. Without going into details, if you like vampires and major gunfighting, I'd suggest tuning in. It's not anime like Pokemon, it's real anime. I read once that anime and manga are serious art-forms in Japan, just like novels and films over here. Thus one can find them written about almost any topic imagineable, the fact that they're animated doesn't really make an impact. Anyone who's really into graphic novels (Ben) will probably tell me I'm full of shit because most graphic novels, the western equivalent to high-quality manga such as Watchmen, are just as good. Trouble is, graphic novels don't get produced in quite the same volume, and while quality is just as important as quantity, manga has both in spades. However, I'm not a big manga reader, I'm just trying to illustate my point. Although but I did buy a lot of comic books when I was a kid, and none of them were as consistently good as the few manga I've picked up since I grew pubes. So back to this point I'm trying to make, anime is great, and I'd reccomend it to anyone looking for something a little different than saturday morning cartoons. Other than Hellsing I'd give thumbs up to Trigun, Evangelion (with alternate endings. The originl ending of Evangelion was terrible), Ghost in the Shell SAC (once again boldly displaying my ignorance by having never read the original in print) and SAC 2nd Gig (which I got before SAC). However, I'd be just as happy sitting down to a big round of Escaflowne or Full Metal Alchemist, which are definately a little more child oriented (see pokemon comment above). Of course now I have to acknowlege my roots, the anime that started it all for me, Sailor Moon, which I saw on YTV when I was a kid, and watched with zealous passion until like the 8th season. Finally, I'd like to say that I'm currently enjoying Full Metal Panic (completely different from Full Metal Alchemist) however, like Ghost in the Shell, I appear to be getting to 2nd season or sequel or something first. It's called Full Metal Panic, the Second Raid. Someone recommended this series to me, but I can't remember who. So if you happen to read this, do tell. Also I only have 3 episodes right now, so I don't know where it fits in my thumbs up/down. I do like it though. And that is no lie.
Time for brekkers! Or maybe some Ghost in the Shell... we'll see

Don't know if you'll check back on any response to the comment you left yesterday, so here's the body of my response:
I saw a link in my referrer log and I figured there weren't more than a dozen or so bloggers called Liam McKenna out there, so I figured it had to be you.
The number one thing I can offer to you in the way of advice to the new blogger is this: post something _every_ day. Even if it's just your laundry list . . . post something. People will only come back to visit your blog if they're both interested _and_ feel that there'll be something new every time they come for a visit. That's why I compile my QotD list so that I have (usually) a week or so of quotes on hand. As long as I get online for a couple of minutes, I can at least post a QotD.
It often takes a while for a new blogger to find their strengths: some bloggers start off writing about their dogs, and end up doing something completely different. If you're interested in building up an audience, find something that interests you and write about it. Don't be a link whore, and don't try to write about things that don't interest you personally.
Remember if you do find something that speaks to you on another blogger's site, give credit where it's due. Trackbacks are the sincerest form of blog-flattery!
Oh, Victor tried to post a comment, but he doesn't have a blogspot ID, so he couldn't do it. He says 'Hi', or words to that effect.
I just tried to make non-users able to comment, but the option of commenting anonymously came along with the deal so I changed it back. Tell Victor to get his own blog. It'll be sweet.
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I really like your new vehicle. At some indeterminate point in the future I'd enjoy riding in it. Is it a big change from the CRV?
Liam watches anime?!?! damnn I would have never known...
The series you list are good, although I would disagree on full metal alchemist (just not my type) You got it all, specialy Hellsing
Here are a few things you should check out bud..
Animatrix - If you haven't already, good quality stuff, definately worth it if you can pick up the soundtrack too
Cromartie Highschool - I like funny stuff, the manga is also worth the price. Hella funny
Full Metal Panic: Fumofu - Not sure if you've heard of this, after watching full metal panic, go to this. You'll laugh your balls off
NGE - I know you've said it but I'll say it again cuz it's so damm good
Samurai Champloo - Damnnnn if you haven't heard of this get off your ass and download a few episodes. All I can say is wow (the guy in my avatar pic is from this show)
Kenshin - Ummm... Standard in anime world, I've seen 25/90 eps and still plan on finishing it, it's the show that got me into anime. Highly recommended
Yeah also check out Appleseed, not a bad movie at all and Advent children. Haven't seen that one yet but I can safely say it's good if you're into Final Fantasy
Ye-yah. DL'n champloo and appleseed as we speak. I've already got Advent Children. I can drop it onto a DVD for you and give it to you at Christmas or somesuch.

I'm working on him. My virtual landlord, Jon, offered me this design as my first blog:

I think you can figure out why I ended up designing my own. I did offer it to Victor . . .

It's just enough bigger to be a bit of a challenge to park (especially parallel parking). It's much more powerful (6 cylinders instead of 4, about 100 hp more in the truck), but it also uses more gas. A good trade-off, because I can carry lumber and plywood in the bed of the truck, which I couldn't do with the CR/V.
I'm hoping to sell the CR/V tonight, actually.
How's that? E-bay or are you taking it to a lot? Or is there some further auto-selling service of which I am, as yet, unawares?
sry for late response...
yeah that would be great actualy! I've been wanting to see it for a bit now, still completing FFVII though I'm right at Sephiroth!
yeah...I've never actually played any of the games. i had to get my friend to explain who all the characters were, but the animation is flawless, so it was great to watch.

None of the above. Puttin' the screws to poor old Clive to buy it from me. His current vehicle is sucking up mud even when it's parked, so he needs new(er) wheels.
