It's 1926, and China is putting the first man in space...

It's true! After being totally unopposed for 5000 years China is now the dominant world power in Civilization 2 (the first strategy game I ever played), lovingly loaned to me by Andrew Hulbert last night. It's just Me (Carthage), Egypt, and China, and China just happened to spawn all on it's own. When China started the space race, I didn't even have motorized units. So, not only does China have more and better units than me (including nukes), but it doesn't need to attack because it can win the game by being the first to land on Alpha Centauri. Oh, and due to one wrong move in the first battle, my first invasion of the Chinese mainland (consisting of handpicked dragoons, riflemen, and cannons) was destroyed utterly without being able to grasp a foothold.
And that's all I've done today. I would have done less if Blake hadn't woken me up at 1 in the afternoon... It's Vivian's 20th today, but since I forgot about it until now i don't know what's happening, and no one is answering phones to tell me. He has his last volleybll game tonight, coincidentally enough, but I'm pretty sure he's going to be hitting the bars after that, so if I want to get drunk I'm going to need to open the Ketel 1 before the game... I also think his parents are going to be there... If the evening consists of anything other than me sitting in a bar drinking water (because it's free), expect a blog about it tomorrow. Although, having counted the contents of my pockets, I do have $14. That's like.. 3 drinks at least, I guess... What fun. Then the water. At least I won't be hung over.
